– “My horse is your horizon” 2013 –
I have made perspective studies and explored the (painter’s) canvas, a frame covered by cloth. The windows of the atelier gridded the view on the autumnal garden and of my noble horse: A universal metaphor for freedom and (sexual) power.
I readily included their presence in my thoughts and studies, in an attempt to capture that fleeting spirit.
