– Rivoli Perfumery 2017 –
I implemented the same CCCP –Catherine’s Cabinets of Curiosity & Perfume concept at The Passag Mall, the oldest iconic shopping mall in St. Petersburg, dating from 1847.
The spaces, the arches, and the shop fronts are still fully original.
The module and theme of the boiserie typical of this concept’s signature, made of recycled “Chippendale” furniture, had been applied to serve the space and function.
To refresh and modernize the look of this fourth location I kept the boiserie of half of the store in its natural state.
Together with the volcanic stone floors this added a lot more raw dramatic textures to this particular location.
The contemporary modern perfumes are situated in that part of the store.
The perfume lines with a more definite classic approach are placed in the dark more moody side of the store.
The centerpiece, as seen from afar, is a fantastical organ.
The ‘organ’ being the place in the laboratory where perfumes are created.
